Ole ANDERSEN (NORE)
Ole Andersen Nore's mother, Randi, gave the Nore farm to him in 1806 for 2,000 riksdalers. According to the footnote on family pedigree chart: Ole Andersen Nore drowned in a lake in Krodsherad with 5 others. Among them was his son Anders, on the 6th day of Dec 1816. Just his wife Viil was saved. (She later married Lars Knudsen Foss, Sigdal) (This is where my father - Knut A. Nohre's line comes from.) Children of Ole Andersen Nore: Ole Olsen (B 1811-1886); Anders (drowned 6 Dec. 1816); Hælge (B 1810-d.s.o); Elling (B 1813); Hælge (B 1815-d.s.o.). Ole Olsen and Elling were raised by Viil and her second husband Lars Knutsen on the Nore farm along with the 6 children of their marriage. Last change: 5 Dec 1994 Viil Andersdtr. was married to Ole Andersen Nore. Her second husband was Lars Knudsen Foss. My father Knut Nohre shows on the large spread sheet brought from Norway that this family's son Knut Larsen may have spelled his last name "Nohre" instead of Nore. Viil owned the farm Nore. She was 31 yrs. old when she married a second time to Lars Knudsen Foss. Viil had a step father by the name of Elling Trulsen. He was about 19 years younger than her mother. Her real father was Anders Ellingsen Sorteberg (1743-89) per Norway 1801 Census. Knut A. Nohre (my father) shows Viils birth and death dates 1788 - 1874. SOURCE NOTES: 1.
