Thomas KIRK
Thomas fought six years in the American Revolution; reached Lauderdale County between 1815 and 1820; was Indian scout at Eaton Station for about five years; married Nancy, widow of Simeon Webb, born about 1765 in Virginia, died after 1844 in Tippah County, Mississippi. At the time of his death he owned the Southwest 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 21, Township 2, Range 13 in Lauderdale County. Children: 1. William Simon, born 1803 in Virginia, died 20 Oct 1867, married (2) 1836 in Lauderdale County to Hulda Belshea; he is buried near West Point, Texas. 2. Allen Kirk, born about 1801, Married 13 Aug. 1824 Lauderdale County to Elizabeth Ross, probably died in Marshall County, Miss. 3. Henderson Kirk, was in Marshall County, Miss., in 1860. 4. Nimrod Kirk, in Marshall County, Miss., in 1850. 5. Nanacy Kirk, born 1795 in Virginia, died 8 Jan 1870 in Fayette Co., Texas, married 1 Jan 1814, Charles Donnelly Lewis Crow. 6. Joseph Kirk. 7.
