                   NOTES:
    1. When 18 years of age Neil and two brothers left the old country and came to America. One brother died shortly after arriving in the United States. They worked on a cattle boat to reach the US. It is unknown where the brother died. Neil and brother, Henry (Hank) settled in Illinois near Aurora. They lived there and worked on a farm some ten years.
    2. Neil had another child with another woman prior to his marriage to Amelia OTT.
    3. After marrying Minnie Ott, they remained in Illinois about two or three years engaged in farming during that time. Then, moving to Nebraska for two years, returning to Illinois for a while. Then they spent one year in Iowa, returning to Nebraska on a sheep ranch for five years.
    4. In 1910 they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where they lived on a farm on the edge of the city.
    5. In 1929 the left the farm and moved into town 325 Cliff St. where they resided until their death.

RESEARCH NOTES:
    1. Amelia's parents both listed as being born in Germany on 1900 Census.

                   RESEARCH NOTES:
    1. The 1910 Census records Henry John's parents as both being born in Germany.
    2. The 1930 Census records Henry John's father as being born in Denmark, and his mother as Illinois.

NOTES:
    1. As a young man Henry John lived in Illinois, Nebraska, and Iowa. He worked as a meat cutter in Lincoln, Nebraska and did farming.
    2. Came to Idaho in the fall of 1911, buying a place in Iona, Idaho. He lived there about a year and a half and then moved to St. Leon, Idaho, living there until Jan 1918, at which time they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho.
    3. Henry John opened the first livestock yards in Idaho Falls, starting business with his father-in-law, James Muir, in an elevator grandpa Muir had built in 1917. He later built his own yards across the road from the elevator, living there and running the livestock business until about 1938.
4. Also worked as a carpenter, and at the defense plant.

DEATH:
    Died of a heart attack while driving to work.
