RESEARCH NOTES: 1. The 1910 Census records Henry John's parents as both being born in Germany. 2. The 1930 Census records Henry John's father as being born in Denmark, and his mother as Illinois. NOTES: 1. As a young man Henry John lived in Illinois, Nebraska, and Iowa. He worked as a meat cutter in Lincoln, Nebraska and did farming. 2. Came to Idaho in the fall of 1911, buying a place in Iona, Idaho. He lived there about a year and a half and then moved to St. Leon, Idaho, living there until Jan 1918, at which time they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. 3. Henry John opened the first livestock yards in Idaho Falls, starting business with his father-in-law, James Muir, in an elevator grandpa Muir had built in 1917. He later built his own yards across the road from the elevator, living there and running the livestock business until about 1938. 4. Also worked as a carpenter, and at the defense plant. DEATH: Died of a heart attack while driving to work.
BIRTH: Birthplace listed as Sycamore, DeKalb, Illinois on IGI NOTES: 1. Margaret Kathryn moved in with "Aunt Mamie" after the death of her husband. 2. Had a stroke and was paralyzed for over five years.
