RESEARCH NOTES:
      1. Only one of the ancient chronicles mentions Crioda as a son of Cerdic, and father to Cynric.  Other sources claim Cynric was the son of Cerdic and not his grandson.  However, it has been generally accepted that Crioda was the fatherof Cynric and son of Cerdic, so it is accepted as such for this compilation.
