Notes:
Aunt Emma was my mothers half-sister, my mothers favorite. While I was growing up she lived in New Brunswick, New Jersey and we used to visit them regularly. Her husband (Uncle Harry) had a large vegetable garden and I particularly rememberthe large tomatoes he used to give us to take back to Staten Island. The dirt there was very red in color. They had an apple tree and a quince tree by the side of the house.
