                   Children 2 and 3, Hans and Ditlev were managers and inspectors of
Fisheries in København and Sorø.  The will of Anne Cathrine Olufsen, wife
of Hans Asmus Jappe, mentions the son of her dead husband's sister, and
names him, Henrich Christian Berg, who is managing the fishery after her
husband's death.  She is living with Henrich Christian Berg in the 1801
Census, and seems to have no children of her own.

Child #3 is the right ancestor, even if he is christened Henrich only,
because Hans Asmus was mentioned as his brother in Denmark and
Henrich Christian Berg, his sister's son, witnessed his marriage.  His
additional name, DITLEV, was taken on later.  As DITLEV HENRICH, he
appears as a witness in 1758 in Wensian neighbor parish of
Gross-Warder Hare and in the other neighbor parish of Schamorsdorf he
was not born. No other Jappe families could be found in both of the
mentioned neighbor parishes.

In the parish of Bosau, unfortunately, no church books were kept until
1701 as Pastor Westkofen took over the ministry, as stated by himself
at the start of the records.  This is the reason why the right relationship
degrees cannot be established.  But they were related very closely,
because all of the early families witnessed the child christenings.

                   Family records give the birth dates of #'s 2,3, & 4: their births are not
recorded in Sorø. #5 & 6 are found there.  Court records copied from
correspondence with Denmark gives husband's age in 1771 and his death
in 1783 in Sorø.  However I cannot find the death entry in the Sorø
records.  I cannot find a probate for him.  His wife is living with her son,
Peder, and his wife in the 1801 Census.
