Charles Clyde SANSOM

                   Lovena E. "Vinnie" Hill Sansom Our Centurian After a long and full life, mother returned to our Father-in- Heaven on February 24, 2003 at the age of 102. Mom was the 13th of 14 children born to Joseph and Betsy Ann Hill of Granger, Utah, on May 19, 1900, and was the last living survivor. She married Clyde (Sam) Sansom on February 6, 1922, in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away August 15, 1967. Mom was an avid gardener and used every spare minute to beautify her lovely yard. She had a superb green thumb and seemed to make everything grow to the fullest. She was always talking to the flowers and shrubs telling them how beautiful they were. She began working with daddy at Central Auto Service during World War II when help became scarce, and closed the store in 1979. During that time she acquired many friends and lasting relationships. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served in most of the organization, her last calling being a Sunday school teacher for the 12-13 years olds at age 79. She had a deep love for music and at the invitation of J. Spencer Cornwall, sang in the Tabernacle Choir for 20 + years. She was the mother of three sons, Donald C. (Barbara), Joseph G. (Ann), and Robert B. (LaRae); 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 1, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Holladay 14th Ward Chapel, 4816 Viewmont Street. Friends may call Saturday from 10:45 -11:45 a.m. prior to services.
