Note:  the claim that Madog married secondly Maud, daughter of Roese de
Verdun, and that this Maud later married John Fitz Alan, Lord of Arundel,
cannot be accepted, since the Maud who married John Fitz Alan lived nearly a
century later than Madog ap Maredydd.  It is therefore assumed that Madog's
second wife Maud was not of the "de Verdun" family, and that there is a strong possibility he did not marry secondly at all.

Madog ap Maredydd, Prince of Powys Fadog, had children by Eva verch Madog and by mother, name not known.
