He was a Revolutionary soldier. He responded to the Lexington alarm, April 19, 1775 He enlisted May 1 1775, in Capt. Oliver Hanchett's Co. 2nd CT. Reg. He was at the battle of Bunker Hill and thereafter in Arnold's Expedition against Quebec, in which his company suffered severely, its officers, Capt. Hanchet and Lt. Savage being taken prisoners. Lt. Samuel Cooper being killed, while seven of the men were killed one wounded and 29 made prisoners by the British. Pelatiah King was among the fortunate few who were not injured. See Record of CT.
