       Paddock Cheadle was born 14 May 1780 in Barnard, Windsor, Vermont.  He came to Washington County, Ohio in 1799 with his father.  He married Rachael Ankrom 1826.  He was listed in the 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840 of Morgan County, Ohio with the following information-

       However in 1850 Paddock Cheadle age 70, his wife Rachael age 60, his children Lamar Cheadle age 23, Raphael Cheadle age 21, and only daughter Marinda age 17, and daughter in law, the wife of Raphael, Emeline age 16 are living in Linn County, Iowa.  The entire family would soon move to Linn County, Oregon, Albany area.  Rachael Cheadle died 1862.  Paddock died two years latter 26 May 1864.  This great pioneer had come many mile to find a final resting place in Oregon.
       Of New England blood he was an honest, hard working, God fearing man.  I am amazed and humbled to think that at age 71 he followed the Oregon Trail.  He and his lovely wife Rachael.  It is interesting to note that he gave in his will $500. to the misssionary Society of The Methodist Episcapol Church.  He crossed a contenent to help fulfill America's destiny.

Paddock Cheadle was born at Barnard, Windsor, Vermont 14 May 1780. His parents were Asa Cheadle, Sr. and Martha Paddock.

He married Rachel Ankrom 1826 at Morgan, Ohio . Rachel Ankrom was born at Frederick, Maryland 16 Jan 1789 daughter of Jacob Duckett Ankrom and Elizabeth Clark .

They were the parents of 3 children:
