Notes:
Spelling: Iball has been spelled in various source documents as Eubale, Eybal, Iball and Iboll. The correct spelling is unknown at this time. Iball is used because it was used when the temple work was performed. IT WILL BE NOTED THAT ELIZABETH, THE MOTHER, HAS A DEATH DATE OF 30 JULY, 1754, WHILE HER DAUGHTER, ELIZABETH, IS LISTED AS BEING BORN 9 MAR 1755. THIS IS THE WAY THE INFORMATION IS ON THE ARCHIVE RECORD AND A CONSULTANT STATED THAT IT SHOULD BE LEFT THAT WAY, AS WE HAVE NO WAY OF IDENTIFYING ALL OF THESE ELIZABETH IBALL/EUBALES. 20 Mar 1991 CHRISTENING: F.H.L. Film #104,814, Mold Parish Records, for both Elizabeths. "Elizabeth D of Richard & Elizabeth Eubale of Bistree Bap" Christened: Is either 9 Mar or 13 Jul 1755. It is not known for certain whether the Elizabeth Eubale, who married William Bennion is Elizabeth Eubale born 9 Mar 1755, daughter of Richard & Elizabeth Jones Eubale, or the Elizabeth Eubale born 12 Jul 1755, daughter of Rice and Elizabeth Eubale. Richard and Rice Ubale were brothers, each of whose wife was named Elizabeth, and both of whom had daughters named Elizabeth, who were born four months apart. The records do not provide enough information to positively determine the identity of these people. The Mold Parish Register F.H.L. Film #104,824, reads: 9 Mar 1755 Elizabeth d of Richard and Elizabeth Eubale baptized 30 Jun 1755 Elizabeth Eubale buried 13 Jul 1755 Elizabeth d of Rice and Elizabeth Eubale baptized There is currently no way of knowing if the Elizabeth that was buried on 30 Jun 1755 was the wife or daughter of Richard. If it was Richard's wife, then either of the two Elizabeths born in 1755 could have married William Bennion. For the purposes of computer data entry, we are at present (1990) assuming that William Bennion married Elizabeth the daughter of Richard. The Endowment House records show William Bennion sealed to Elizabeth in 1871. No birth or death date is given for either of them. No surname is included for Elizabeth. The heir relationship helps to identify this couple as our William and Elizabeth. They know which Elizabeth is sealed to William and so we have been advised there is no need to seal both Elizabeths to William. MARRIAGE: Hawarden Parish Record, F.H.L. Film #944,003, p. 60. See notes under William Bennion. DEATH: 10-14 July 1824. Hawarden Parish Records, F.H.L. Film #944,003. "It will be noted that Elizabeth, the mother, has a deathdate of 30 Jul, 1754 while the daughter, Elizabeth, is listed as being born 9 Mar 1755. Note by Howard Sharp Bennion. This is the way the information is shown on the archive records. A Family History consultant has said that it should be left this way because we have no way of identifying all of these Elizabeth Iball/Eubale individuals. BURIAL: History of John Bennion (1820) by himself. The Bennion Family of Utah, Vol. II, page 250. Quarto Section, 942.935/H2 V11, page 123, Entry 974: "Elizabeth. wife of William Bannion labourer at the Chemistry, Mancott Bur 16 July age 69". Note from Howard S. Bennion to Ivy Spencer Welling, Aug. 20, 1955: "From Grandfather's notes (John Bennion - 1820) of which Mary D. Brown gave me a copy in 1937 and I have them before me, one gravestone says she (Elizabeth Iball Bennion) departed this life July 14, 1824, another grave-stone, her husband's evidently, says she died July 10th, 1824, and in the list of burials she is recorded as buried 1 July, 1824. Generally the registry entry is correct if it is copied correctly. "Her husband, William, on two gravestone inscriptions is shown as dying 3 Nov 1839 and is shown in the register as buried, entry 6 Nov 1839. This s a reasonable difference. Elizabeth is recorded as buried 9 to 13 days before she died. I am inclined to take the 1 July date so that anyone searching the parish register would find it there." BAPTISM: F.H.L. Film #183,384 EHOUS, p.235, #11,271. The Endowment House baptism lists Elizabeth Bennion, death as 1825, proxy was Emma Bennion, daughter of Samuel, listed as Gt grand-daughter. ENDOWMENT: F.H.L. Film #170,544 SGEOR, p.224, #3829. SEALED TO PARENTS: Elizebeth Iboll, Daughter of Richard Iboll, was sealed to her parents 19 Oct 1961, Archive record F.H.L. Film #457,778. Filed under Ivy Spencer Welling as heir. Elizabeth Iboll, daughter of Rhys [Rice] was sealed to her parents 18 April, 1961, Archive Record [F.H.L. Film #475,719 Heir: Ivy Spencer Welling. SEALED TO SPOUSE: F.H.L. Film #183,398 EHOUS, p. 57, #3702. Another sealing is listed of William Bennion to Elizabeth `Ball', which is probably intended to refer to this William and Elizabeth Iball. His name and her given name are spelled correctly, but her surname is listed as`I.' Ball. The data entry operator made the `I.' as a middle initial and listed her as `Ball.' There are various ways by which this surname has been spelled: Iball, Iboll, Euball, Eubale, Eybal, etc., depending on the ability of the parish clerk to spell correctly and write legibly and the transcriber to properly interpret the data. We have settled on `Iball' because this is the name used most frequently in early temple work for this family. The questionable `Ball' entry is located on the current IGI G0040, Flint, Wales, p.37.
