NOTES: 1. Nauvoo Baptisms for the Dead - FHL Film #820,154, Book A, page 109 gives Eleanor McMinds as mother and Phebe McMinds as sister of James. CHRISTENING: Took place in the New Providence Presbyterian Church of Ash Grove, Essex, New Jersey. MILITARY SERVICE: Served in the Revolutionary War. See Dick's letter to Bonnie Atkinson, dated 22 Nov 1979. Wm McManners and Wm McMindes who served in Capt. Laton's Co. of Morris Co. Militiamen are one and the same.
MARRIAGE: Took place in the New Providence Presbyterian Church, Essex, New Jersey.

PLACE OF BIRTH: One Temple Patron Notification Reference shows James born in Morris, Camden, New Jersey. Camden was not created until 1844. This needs a bit more research. NOTES: 1. CAME TO UTAH: James came to Utah in 1847 with the Kinyon 3rd ten company - Book: "Pioneers of 1847", Easton, S.; and Roster of Pioneers of 1847.
He married Eleanor Clausen 26 Aug 1773 at Ash Grove, Essex, New Jersey . Eleanor Clausen was born at of Ash Grove, Essex, New Jersey Abt 1752 .
