Johan Christof Dickenschied/Christopher Dickensheets went to Karlsrule,Prussia on 27 November 1743 and as a resident of Sprendlingen, applied for permission to emigrate for himself, his wife and his children. On 20October1744 he took an oath to the King of England at the courthouse atPhiladelphia, PA as a passenger on the ship Phoenix. William Wilson was the Captain. 2. Christopher was 45 years old when he immigrated. There were 165 passengers on the ship, 110 men and 55 women. 3. They first settled in Towmencin Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA (now Montgomery Co.) then to Lower Salford Twp. near Harleyville, next to theMennonite Meeting House. OCCUPATION: Shoemaker
