                   RESEARCH NOTES:
    1. Benjamin Frey's Will names his wife as "beloved wife Cristen". She may have been daughter of Abraham Merklel of Bonfeld, Germany - he did have a daughter Regina Christena born 20 March 1699, Bonfled, Wuerttenburg, Germany. There is no proof of this relationship. She is also seen as "Anna Christena" and "Christena Anne" and "Christian". Some have suggested she was a daughter of Jost Hite, but that seems less likely, since no daughter of similar name is known.
