OBITUARY: Laura M. Adams A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for Laura M. Adams who died March 8 ath age 83. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Klamath Memorial Park in Klamath Falls. Mrs. Adams was born Dec. 3, 1914, in Cape Horn, Wash. Her maiden name was Grossen. She was raised in Rock Creek and North Bend, and she graduated from North Bend High School. She was the president of the Gold Star Wives in Portland. Her husband, Donald, died earlier. Survivors include her stepson, Donald Adams of Perham, Minn.; brothers, Alfred Grossen and Clarence "Bud" Grossen, both of North Bend; sisters, Geneva Selin of Coos Bay and Minnie Shay and Caroline "Honey" Wright. both of North Bend; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren . A daughter, Diane Allen, died earlier. Arrangements are by Ward's Klamath Funeral Home in Klamath Falls.
He married Caroline Emma Stoffers 24 Jan 1899 at Osborne, Osborne, Kansas . Caroline Emma Stoffers was born at Exira, Audubon, Iowa 4 Jun 1878 daughter of Claus Hinrich Stoffers and Carolina Dorothea Luders .
