Eva Maxfield Dies; Funeral Saturday
     Eva Carolina Maxfield, former Benton county resident, died Wednesday at the Dallas hospital.
     The daughter of Gustav and Herman Papke, she was born Aug. 5, 1888 at Detroit, Mich.  As a child she moved with her family to Blodgett.  On Oct. 13, 1906, she was married to Reason M. Maxfield at Corvallis.  The couple moved to Chino,  Calif. in 1939, returning to Oregon in 1937 to make their home at Grand Ronde.  Mr. Maxfield died in 1955.  She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Willamina.
     Survivors include four sons, Adrian F. Maxfield, Dallas; Darrel E. Maxfield, Willamina; Russell M. Maxfield, Salem; and Curtis D. Maxfield, Los Angeles; two daughters, Winona A. Bergstrom, Valley Junction, and Agnes L. Limes, Salem; and one sister, Helena Bordette, Blodgett.
     Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the DeMoss Durdan Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Crystal Lake Cemetery.
