Gr-gr-granddaughter of Thomas Rankin and Mary Clendenon, his wife. Thomas Rankin (1724-1810) served as private in the Pennsylvania Line, as did his four eldest sons, John, Richard, William, and Samuel. He was born in Derry County, Ireland. Also No. 19771 .
