Mabel is the d/o John Tibbens, b. 15 Jul 1847 in Franklin, Venango County, PA and Isabel (Kirk) b. 1 Oct 1847in Philadelphia, d. 18 Dec 1892 in Washington County. John Tibbens was in the oil producing business. He retired in Porterville, CA. Mabel was born 2 Aug 1884 in Washington County. John Tibbens parents are John Tibbons b. in Center county, PA and Jane Smith born in Franklin, Venango County, PA. Isabel's parents are natives of Ireland. John Kirk was an expert linen weaver. Jane Wade is her mother. They est. their home in Philadelphia.From the same source I have that John Hammond b. in Ireland came to the American colonies and enlisted as a patriot in American Revolution. He was involved in Bunker Hill and Cowpens. His son was Samuel Hammond b. in Smith township and d. Dec 22, 1879, m. to Martha Bell.
