Nov 23-35TOQUERVILLE, Nov. 30.--Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Janet Stapley Bringhurst, wife of the late Bishop William A. Bringhurst, were held Nov. 23. Speakers included George F. Whitehead president of the St. George temple, Claude Hurschi, president of Zion Park stake, J. S Beatty and S. R. Wilkinson. Mrs. Bringhurst A poem, written by Mable Jarvis, was read by Mrs. Rhea Wakeling, also a poem of her own writing. written for the occasion. Musical numbers were presented by Mr. and Mrs. Vernett Hinton, duet; vocal solo by Professor Manning of the B. A. C. faculty. Interment followed in the Toquerville cemetery. Mrs. Bringhurst was born Feb. 11, 1865, at Toquerville, daughter of Charles and Sarah Jane Parkinson Stapley. She died from heart disease at her home Wednesday night, Nov. 20. Her entire-life was spent in Southern Utah where she devoted her time to her family and in serving the Church. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: M. William, Samuel, Bishop Leo and Charles S. Bringhurst, all of Toquerville; Mrs. Vera B. Thurber, Provo; Mrs. Veda B. Wilkrnson, Rigby, Idaho; Mrs. Walter Jepperson, Provo; three brothers, Charles Stapley, Beaver; William Stapley, Paragoona, and Seymore Stapley, Toquerville.
