Sam Dark
Lecompton - Sam Dark, 82?, ....died Friday at a Topeka hospital.
He was born July 14?, .....at McLouth, the son of Samuel L. and Mary E. Dick Dark.  He lived most of his life in the Lecompton community.
Mr. Dark was a retired farmer.  He also managed the girls softball team at Big Springs many years and helped build the Big Springs Methodist Church in 18....
He was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church.
He married Margaret Rahrmaier? Sept 18?, 1921? at Lecompton.  She survives.
other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Green?, Newton; a son, Clayton Dark, Lecompton; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Halloway, Lecompton; two brothers, Elton Dark and Harley Dark, both of Lecompton, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lecompton.  Memorial contributions may be made to Big Springs United Methodist Church in cse of Ramsey Funeral Home, Lawrence.
