Unfortunately no. I took a side trip to Davenport while returning from a trip and found the Hugh Orr farm and Luther Orr's grave, but I didn't have time to go to the town hall or county clerk office to do any research. I asked the current owner of the farm if she knew about any family graves on the property, but she said didn't know of any. She referred me to a nearby small cemetery, but none of our folks were there.
The most definitive proof I have is the mention of Luther Orr's wife's (Elizabeth Houghtaling) grand niece and nephew being Phillip Orr's niece and nephew in the 1880 Tuscarora census. That and the fact that Sally Ann Orr married Henry Houghtaling, Elizabeth's brother, confirms the relationship between the families. The niece/nephew relationship could also be through Henry and Sally, but the fact that there wasn't anyone from any of the other Orr families in that area in Davenport pretty well ties up the family connections.
If I can ever piece a couple of days together, I plan to go back to Delaware County, stay overnight, and to do some research.

Hi Laurie,
My name is Dennis O'Connell and I just found your posting on Rootsweb about Joseph Orr and Sally Mead. I'm descended from Mary's brothers Aaron and James. Aaron's daughter Polly married James's son Calvin. They had Frederick who's son Arthur was my grandfather.
Shelba Conklin, another cousin of ours, and I have been doing a bunch of digging trying to find Joseph's and Sally's parents. Shelba enlisted the Delaware County Historian to help, and between what we all have found, we're sure that Joseph's father was Hugh, but we just need a document to confirm it - I'm planning on going to Delhi soon to try to find Hugh's will and maybe some property deeds. By the way, we did establish that Joseph was born in Delaware County - not Chenango. History books show that he came from Plymouth, Chenango County, NY, but he first shows up in the 1820 Delaware County census, then in Plymouth in the 1830 census. He must have married Sally in Delaware County, because several of their offspring, including Mary, were born before 1820.
Sally is still an enigma - I had been tracking the possibility that she was the daughter of one of the Amos Mead's in that area who both had daughters named Sally, but both of them married other men. Still some work to do here. Do you have any info that might be helpful?
