Barbara Jane Ochampaugh
PRAIRIE VIEW Barbara Jane Ochampaugh, 95, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at Solomon Valley Manor.
She was born Jan. 31, 1908, in Rooks County to Silas H. and Arabell (Stamper) Ochampaugh. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone and operated Kiddie Korner in Stockton.
Survivors include a sister, Daisy LeSage, Stockton; five nephews, Harold Maddy, Salina, Verl LeSage, Concordia, Dean LeSage, Hays, Earl Ochampaugh, Garden City, and James Ochampaugh, Plainville, and four nieces, Beth Marcotte, San Jose, Calif., Nola Odle and Zola Tolman, both of Overland Park, and Alice Ann Lee, Smith Center; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Ochampaugh and Donald Ochampaugh, six sisters, Amanda Gafford, Ruth Whalen, Lucy Maddy, Vivian Ochampaugh, Gladys LeSage and Ollie Ochampaugh; and a friend, Evan Pop Simpson.
Services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Main Street Christian Church, Stockton; burial in Stockton Cemetery.
Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Stockton, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the church or Solomon Valley Manor.
