On this 3rd day of April 1912, at Millsap, county of Parker, state of Texas, before me...appeared Robert Porter....My age is 78 past occupation asst. postmaster, P.O. Millsap, Texas. I am a pensioner of the U.S. I have been married two times. I first married Charlotte Hendricksen at Quincy, Illinois, before the civil war. She died in 1867. I think at Davensport, Iowa. I next married Mary S. Munk at Owenville, Texas several years after my first wife's death. I cannot remember the date. We were divorced at Weatherford, Texas about five years ago. She is still living at lampasas, Texas. I have not remarried since I was divorced from her. The two marriages mentioned are my only ones. Robert Lee Porter, was admitted to the D.V.S. home in Knoxville, TN 12 Feb 1912. Transferred to the Western Branch 22 Aug 1913, at Leavenworth, KS. He was transferred 10 Dec 1913, to Washington, D.C. to a home for the insane (veterans) and died there 4 Feb 1914. He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery. Lot #3 Grave 2579.
