THE ROBERT PEEL FAMILY OF SLEEPY CREEK, by Elisabeth Wooten Holmes and Mary Holmes Borgognoni.

He was a friend of Henry and Alice Hollowell.

His will was dated 22 June 1756 and probated in the August Court of 1756.

According to Marvin Peele, he married Judith Norsworthy and not Judith Edwards. Perhaps she married twice.

He lived at Sleepy Hole Plantation, on Bennetts Creek, and ran a ferry across the Nansemond Riverr which ran from Coffield Point to Robert Peele.

His land adjoined that of Thomas Hollowell Parents: Robert PEELE II and Sarah JARET.

Spouse: Judith EDWARDS. Judith EDWARDS and Robert PEELE III were married about 1700 in Nansemond Co., VA. Children were: Robert PEELE IV, John Jellany PEELE, Joseph PEELE, Joshua PEELE, Sarah PEELE, Mary PEELE.
