Lists birthdate as May 1880 in 1900 census, lists it as 8 May 1879 in WWI Draft registration. Lists wife as Sylvia in WWI draft, home as Yale, Kay, OK. In 1885 Kansas State census, it shows middle initial as B, it should have been E and might have been a transcription error by the census taker. 1910 Census gives only initials, but it is the family, and gives that the couple has been married 7 years. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: From WWI draft card - Medium height, stout build, blue eyes, dark hair, defective knee and ankle. NEWSPAPER:LIGHTNING STRIKES HOME AND WOMAN IS STRIKEN UNCONSCIOUS. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30, 1922 - FRONT PAGE. - Lightning struck the house of W. N. Kentner, 32 miles north of the city on the rock road, at about 6 o'clock this morning and knocked Mrs. Kentner, who was standing in the kitchen doorway, a distance of about fifteen feet, rendering her unconscious. When partially revived, Mrs. Kentner was unable to speak for some time but could only indicate what she was trying to say by gestures. She is resting easy this afternoon. - The building caught fire, but the flames were soon extinguished. Mr. and Mrs. Kentner have four children and the whole family were at home at the time. One of the little boys ran to the nearest neighbors for aid. - Mr. Kentner is in the employ of the Dawson Produce company of this city.
