    Served in Confederate Army. D 25th Regt. Texas Cavalry. Henry Calvin was sent to City Point, Virginia in April 1863 with 833 Confederate prisoners for parole and release in exchange for Union prisoners. Today this site is near Hopewell, Virginia outside of Petersburg.  From Ernest Vivian fmaily tree on Ancestry: "Henry Calvin lived on the ranch in Zavala Country some distance from town. According to some family members, he kept a horse saddled and loaded with provisions in his saddle bag in case he had to make a dash for the border. He was said to have a Colt.45"

Henry Calvin "Dick" Vivian was the son of Lloyd and Caroline Braton Gibson Vivian. He married Annie O'Meara, daughter of john and Ellen McDonald O'Meara.
The Dick Vivian's were among the early settlers in Dimmit County. They haad 11 children: Lloyd Edward, Lavina, Michael, Milton, Frank, John Wiley, Abner Albert, Lettie E., Annie Lee, Fannie Dee, and Leon Thomas.
Lloyd Edward Vivian was born on May 22, 1867. he married Mollie English.
Lavina Vivian was born on September 1, 1869. She married Ben Tumlinson on January 3, 1888.
Michael "Mike" Vivian was born on January 25, 1871. He married Kate Jones.
Milton Vivian was born on February 15, 1873. He married Alice Jones Holder.
Frank "Frankie" Vivian was born on March 2, 1877. he died at the age of 10.
John Wiley Vivian was born on July 31, 1879. He married Edna Sayre on October 19, 1904.
Abner Albert "Abbie" Vivian was born on September 22, 1881. He died young.
