Ebenezer Crane 1665-1716;
       He enlisted in the Company which went with Sir William Plelp's Expedition to Quebec, Canada in August 1690, under command 0f Colonel John Withington.  He was one out of 29 who returned, out of 75 sent by his native town.
       The Great and General Court granted, to all who enlisted in this war, shares in the northern part of Worcester County, MA, which was then called "Dorchester, Canada," now the town of Ashburnam.
