Baptized on 20 January 1855. The father is acknowledged to be Caspar Römer, son of Johann Jakob Römer, Citizen and farmer in Climbach, and his wife Christina neé Commelin. Sponsors:(1) Caspar's sister Katharina Römer, of Johann Jakob Römer and his wife Christina Commelin; (2) Anna Maria Schnepp, wife of Johannes Schnepp of Climbach. Added note: On 22 March 1857 the parents of the child were married, thus legitimating the child. Also added in the margin: She died 6 January 1918 and was buried 9 January 1918.

Sponsors: (1) Maria Katharina Nein, wife of citizen and farmer Jacob Nein of Climbach; (2) Balthaser Conrad, citizen and______ meister.


Balthasar was a tailor who made uniforms for firemen and postal workers, etc. Neu-Isenburg was the city for the hand-workers who worked for the profesisonal people who lived in Frankfurt. Neu-Isenburg was founded as a Huguenot community in the 17th century at the invitation of the Fürst von Ysenburg. The community was called New-Isenburg to honor the Fürst. Huguenots were noted for their hand-work skills.
