SOURCES: 1. Main Archive Record John bone and wife Rebecca moved to Fall Creek, Tenn. near Murfreesboro soon after Elihu was born (1795). Enos bone and Lucy Herne move to Texas, she was of Tenn. Elihu Bone moved to Sangannon Co. Illlinois about if not at the same time James Scott came to Macon Co., Illinois from Fall Creek, Tenn. Church letter of Elihu Bone dated 30 August 1824 from Fall Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Rutherford County, Tenn. Henry Potts Bone and Narcissus or Nancy Britton were parents of Rev. Heny F. bone of Greenville, Texas. (From Frank Randall Records). Nancy bone married 1) James Walker, 2) Calvin Bone her first cousin of Izard County, Arkansas and had 4 children. Calvin Bone was a widower with 4 children. John and Rebecca Potts Bone had seven children in Iredell County and 805 moved to Wilson County, Tennessee. John purchased land southwest of Slatesville on Fall Creek owning land in both Wilson and Rutherford Counties. Rebecca was living in 1820 but had died before John made out his 1825 will. John died in the spring of 1827. Three of their sons seved in the War of 1812. Three of the children: Elihu, Elizabeth Scott and Jamima moved to Illinois in 1824. Nancy Bone went to Arkansas in 1841; and a couple of years later Enos moved to Texas. The oldest sons remained in Tennessee. Enos Houston Bone, Henry Potts Bone and James Hill Bone served in the War of 1812 in the West Tennessee Militia.
Rebecca Potts 1766 she is said to be a daughter of Thomas Potts. a close friend of the Bone Family. In Fact Thomas Potts migrated with a brother and John A. Bone Sr. in 1749 and served as Justice of Peace of Anson County 1753 to 1774.

Elihu bone born in Iredell Co., NC moved to Tennessee with his father and married. He was an elder in Fall Creek Church until he moved to Illinois in 1824. He was a sheelwright by trae and a member of the legislature from 1842 to 1844.
