High Bone's parentage on both sides were Scotch Irish Presbyterian descent and united in his great grand father, John McWilliams of Scotland who was remarkable in his day and country for his intelligence and piety.

He emigrated to America in quite and early day and settled in Pennslyvania Colony. If the statement that Hugh Bone's parentage united in this John McWillimas, it would mean doubtless that William Bone's wife was also a great grand daughter of John McWilliams.

Hugh Bone was removed by his parents to North Carolina while yeat a boy. At 22 years married Mary Hill, while their family was small they moved to Madison Co., KY. In 1819 moved to Hopkins Co.
