DEATH: Union Cemetery record of Butler Co., Ohio, Book 977.175 V 22 u d.  He was originally buried in Hamilton Co. Ohio and was later moved to a lot belonging to his brother David's family in Union Township Cemetery, West Chester, just over the line in Butler Co. to the north, according to Hazel Huston Price, suthor of the Brecounts and DeCamps.

NOTES: The families of David and his borther Salomon sold out their holdings in New Jersey about 1788 and migrated westward through Pennsylvania to Fredrick Co, Virginia.  They remained at this location for 7-8 years.

In 1796  David and Solomon and their families along with Joseph Catterlin and his family and others left Fredrick Co., Virginia.  They arrived in Hamilton Co., Ohio later in 1796, and originally settled in Sycamore township, Hamilton Co., Ohio.  The name of David Brecount Sr. was on the Hamilton Co. voters list for 7198.

The tax list of Pioneers for Springfield township, Hamilton Co. for the year 1809 is published in "History of Cincinnati and Hamilton Co. Ohio 1894."  At this time Springfield township included the two northern tiers of Sections in Mill Creek and the two western tiers in Sycamore.  David Brecount Sr. and Joseph Catterlin Jr. appeared on the tax list as property owners.
