Autobiography of Joseph Pyram King listed the following:
pg 8: His grandmother was a doctor from Holland named Eliza Strauss. She earned her MD in Europe. Brought her medical library to Wilmington, and he used to go with her to take care of patients.
pg 19: My grandmother, Eliza, whose maiden name was Strouse, from Holland, in a shed a few yards from the one I was born in, kept her loom, spinning wheel, and flax wheel..... about this time the Strouse family moved into a house... on the North side of Queen....
p. 24: In 1862 I found my grandmother... living with her son/grandson, Charles' wife on 7th and Castle
