LETTER:  Dear Couisn Willie
               We have been waiting, to hear from you ever since you left; but
        have not received a word although you promised to write as soon as you
        arrived at home, is it that you wrote and the letter was misplaced or
        is it that you do not care to correspond. You must write to me and tell
        all the news. As there is nothing new here. Brother Julius is married
        and has a pretty little girl his lives about eight miles from Cusseta
        up in the pinewoods. Brother Wes has just returned from school, sister
        Laura is on her way home from school. I have been bitten very bad by a
        snake but I am better now. I have a sweet little sister only five months
        old her name is Claude. Father says that he don't believe he ever had as
        sorry a crop in his life on all of his places the rain has ruined most
        everything, most especially the cotton, it will not make half as much as
        it did last year. I think you are tired of reading (my letter) So, I must
