NOTE:  A possible birth, christening, and parents was found for Jose.  He may have been born 25 Jun 1850 in Sao Sebastiano, Ponta Delgado, Azores, Portugal and christened 29 Jun 1852 in the same place.  His possible parents were Joe Antonio and Luduteria Candida.  More research is needed to prove this.
