NOTES: As Ellen was married in 1855 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, it is vaguely possible that she is a younger sister or a cousin of James, though it is more likely that she came to the United States with her uncle Thomas.
NAME: Maria aka Mary NOTES: Mary's second marriage was witnessed by Henry Jacob McSheehy. Mary may have died before 1895, since her mother's obituary says that she had three daughters living at that time, and the other three have been accounted for (Unless Ellen is not really a daughter).

NOTES: His biography says he was born in 1849, while his death record states 1850 His biography states that he brought his mother, three brothers, and two sisters to the US, and that one sister was already in the US. Immigrated in 1865, according to his biography. He served in the 52nd session of the Indian House of Representatives, serving Marion county as a Republican in 1880. The Western Citizen folded in 1883. Thomas is a lawyer in Fremont, Sandusky, Ohio in 1890, and at his death in 1915. In 1900 he was employed as a Revenue man.
NOTES: Henry established the Logansport Tribune in 1875. Henry was a Publisher of a newspaper in 1900, according to the US Census. Henry stated that he immigrated to the US in 1857. No evidence of this was found. Henry was the Editor and Owner of the Local Newspaper in 1910, according to the US Census.
NOTES: Christening record reads: Jan 1st 1855, Christopher Sheehy of Jacobi Sheehy & Anna Gorham of Annascaul, Sps Michaeli Quirk & Maria Fitzgerald. In 1879 he was an editor of the Western Citizen in Indianapolis, along with his brother Was an R.R.P. Clerk in 1880, according to the US Census In 1890 he was residing at 1943 Lawrence St. in Denver, CO - was editor and proprietor of the Rocky Mountain Celt. In 1895 he was residing at 1326 Welton in Denver, CO - was listed as an editor For many years from 1895-1903, Christopher is not listed in the city directory with his wife. In 1903, the McSheehys were residing at 2415 Logan Ave., with Edward C, Herman T., Mary E., and wife Mary W. McSheehy, though Christopher was not listed. In 1904 Christopher is again listed in the directory, with his occupation listed as a Printer. In January of 1904 Christopher is listed as applying for membership in the Typographical Union in McKeesport, PA.

Not consistent with baptismal record. Maggie's death record lists her father as John McSheehy, though she would likely have never known him as he died when she was young.
