    2. Edward's 2nd marriage to Mary Alice SPRINGALL was a plural marriage.
    3. On October, 1855, under the hands of Elder Franklin D. Richards, (then President of the European Mission) and Elder William Budge, Karl G. Maeser became the 1st person to be baptized into the church in Germany in this dispensation. He was followed by Edward Schoenfeld and then Edward Martin. On the following Friday night, 19 Oct 1855, Anna Mieth Maeser became the 1st woman to be baptized. She was followed by her sisters, Ottilie Mieth Schoenfeld and Camilla Mieth; her mother, Henriette Mieth; and her brother Emil Mieth.
