    In 1787, Anders was 68 years old.

    Note on group sheet of Anders Olufsen and Karen Christensdatter:
    "Note: The par reg for Hvidbjerg Vesten Aa is very badly mutilated, and
    there is a total "gap" in it during the years 1728-1738 which is probably
    the reason for the chr of child #1, Maren, being missing. It is quite
    possible that this couple also had other children born to them during this
    period of time who had died before the mother so that they would not be
    mentioned in her probate. The marriage of the husband and wife probably
    also took place during this same period of time when the records were
    not available. It is not known when the family moved from Hvidbjerg
    Vesten Aa to Bedsted. The information regarding child #1, Maren, has
    been submitted on a family group sheet from the information obtained in
    the probate after her mother (1744); this is the standard procedure for
    this type of research problem.

    "Note: the par reg for Bedsted for this early period of time is very badly
    mutilated which means that this couple may have had other children born
    to them which chr entries cannot be located because of the condition of
    the par reg."

    Note on group sheet of Anders Olufsen and Karen Simonsdatter:
    "Note: The chr rec for Bedsted is missing Fall, 1755- Dec 1757 so it is
    quite possible that this couple had at least one and maybe even two
    children born to them during that period of time.  Unfortunately, there is
    no probate available after either the husband nor the wife on this sheet.
    The probates after the husband's first two wives were found and used,
    they (his first two wives) were young enough to leave minor children
    after them so that the husband had to remarry in order to have somebody
    to care of his children, and in that case it was the law that the estate
    had to be probated before he could remarry. But when he and his last wife
    died they were too old to leave anything as they had probably given
    everything away to their children by that time, and the farm had been
    deeded over to one of the sons on condition that they would be provided
    with board and room on that farm for the rest of their lives."
