                   NOTE: According to the will of Joost Adriaensen Vermeulen, dated 2 September 1665 (no probate date), his wife Femmetje Hendricks and little daughter, Maertje, were living in the Netherlands, Her remarried in October 1668 as the widower of Femmetje Hendricks.

Notes:

                   NOTE: Femmetje Hendricks came to New Amsterdam (New York) on the ship "De Trouw" on 22 December 1659 with her brother Roeloff, and sister, Hilletje. On 7 June 1663, she was captured by Indians, but was ransomed shortly thereafter. After her marriage and the birth of her only child, Maertje, she took her daughter and returned to the Netherlands and never returned. She died by the year 1668, when her husband remarried, stating that he was the widower of Femmetje Hendricks.
