Notes from David Johnson. Joined church in 1857. Sailed in 1860 on William Tapscot ship. Reached Salt Lake 5 Oct. 1860. Crossed plains in Capt. William Budge's ox train company. He was a purchasing agent. Emigration records show he had $1350. Passage cost $265. Cattle & wagon cost $337.30 and he had $748 left. He also paid for Marline Olsen age 1. She had small pox. David thinks he went back to Denmark and stayed because there is no other information on him such as a death record or grave marker.
