French, HISTORY OF IDAHO (1914) III:1181, plus facing photo, b. 8 Oct 1868, SLC, obtained some ed. public schools, Logan, UT, later BY College, Logan; came with father to ID 1884, ae 16, and assisted in sawmill and grist mill; became partner in firm Fogg, Farnes and Co., later Fogg & Jacobs Lumber Co. until Fogg purchased Jacobs' interest and org. J.E. Fogg Lumber Co, of which he is pres., other officers being I.N. Darling, J.L. Jacobs; Feb 1901, org. St. Anthony Bldg. and Manufacturing Co., with paid-up capital of $1,500; 1 Jan 1902, co. reorg. capitalized at $10,400 and incorporated as St. Anthony Bldg. and Manufacturing Co., with Fogg as pres., other officers being J.L. Jacobs, I.N. Darling, E.N. Warren, Fred Simmons; is now one of largest firms of its kind, with yards at St. Anthony, Ashton, Driggs, Rexburg and Rigby; has paid-up capital of $200,000; outgrowth is Fogg-Jacobs Mercantile Co., St. Anthony, with paid-up capital of $400,000, of which Fogg is pres.; staunch Republican, rep. his district in 9th session of ID Legislature; active as 2nd counselor in LDS Stake Presidency; m.
