    The name "Elliot" was given as the father of William C. Dodds by a relative, Marva Spencer Black Snow, who was a descendant of Sarah Jane Dodds. This has not been documented, and possibly is in error. Note that Wm C. Dodds wife's father was named Elliot. Is it possible that there was a confusion of the names?

    1. Adeline Dodds listed Mary A. Cook as her grandmother in Manti Temple Records of Baptism. She was listed as being from Spartanburg, South Carolina (not sure if this is the city or is the county.)
    2. There is a possibility that Mary A. (probably Mary Ann--note that one of the Dodds sisters is named Mary Ann) is the great grandmother of Adeline Dodds. More research is needed here.
