    Main Archive Record lists following note: Ancestry of Edward Wales Blake and Clarissa Matilda Glidden with Ninety Allied Familes, by Edith B. Sumner, conflicts with this record. That record lists Alice Grantam as the first wife of John Emery instead of Mary as herein entered. Also the marriage date for the 2nd wife, Mary Shatswell is given as 29 oct 1647. (Wiltshire Parish Registers (Wilts 4, Vol. 11, p. 7) contains a marriage entry of a John Emerye and Alice Grantam. The date is 26 Jun 1620. (Wiltshire adjoins Hampshire but the entry gives no further clue.
