Newbury Vital Records, Vol. 3, p. 445, 709. This shows that Jacob, son ofDaniel and Abigail died, 29 Nov. 1736. Joanathan, 7 Mar 1824,a. 99y." If so, the marriage was probably with the widow Mary Dow with whom aJonathan Rogers filed intentions at Newburyport on 27 Aug 1774.A probate for Jonathan Rogers, of Newburyport, ropemaker was presented on 30Mar 1795 (Essex Probate 24019) and Mary Rogers, widow, of Newburyport wasappointed Administrator.It is also noted that when Patience Rogers, a daughter, was married in 1775,the records refer to her as the daughter of "Jonathan and Sarah Rogersdeceased."Through a deed from his father in 1771, he received land in Newbury and hisoccupation at that time was given as a tailor (Essex Deeds, 140:20).Will of Thomas Brown.Deeds of Newbury, Mass.Ancestral File, 1991.
