                       John Thompson md my grandmother Sarah Kiddle or Kidwell.  He died 31 Jan 1811
    after which time my grandmother Sarah Kiddle or Kidwell md my grandfather
    James William Phillipo on 26 Dec 1815.  We have their marriage license which
    lists her as a widow at the time she married James William Phillipo.  She only
    had the two children by the second marriage and the second one Jane died as a
    child.  I think the reason why my grandfather took the name of Thompson was
    that his father James William died when William was only sixteen and he had
    four half brothers and sisters going by Thompson plus the fact that Phillipo is
    not as common as Thompson.  This is my theory only   KMF
