Richard HILDRETH
IGI ; The Hildreths of Westford. LDS Ancestral File Richard died in 1693 and is buried in the Forefathers Cemetery in Chelmsford. SOURCE: The Pioneers of Massachusetts states the following about Richard. Richard, Cambridge, freeman May 10, 1643; town officer, 1645. Removed to Woburn. One of the founders of Chelmsford; had a special grant of 150 acres of land in 1663 on account of having lost his right hand. His son James, age 20 deposed concerining his father's corn, July 30, 1651. [Middlesex Files.] He died in 1688, age 83. [Reg. XI, 7.]
