Lewis WATERBURY
BIRTH: Grace A. Waterbury and Edwin M. Waterbury, Jonathan Waterbury Genealogy (Oswego, New York: Palladium-Times, Inc., 1930) Grant was reared as a farmer growing to manhood on his father's farm, which he assisted in improving. His education was received in the public schools of the locality. In 1892 he left his native state and moved to Blue Hill, Nebraska where for four years he operated a farm. At the end of that period he returned to Harlan, Iowa where he continued to reside until he took up residence in Oklahoma. In Oklahoma he purchased 160 acres of land at Praire Valley and he immediately began improving the property which was a good frame house, buildings for stock and grain and is conveniently appointed for farming and stock raising. He increased his holdings untill he now has a farm of 230 acres, all in fine state of cultivation. In politics Grant ia a Republican, and he takes an active part and interest in the affairs of his locality. They were living at Pocasset, Oklahoma (1930).

Elmer grew to manhood on his father's farm, and completed his education in the public schools near his home. He continued to reside in Shelby County, Iowa, until he was 26 years old; then, following his marriage, he removed to Audubon County, Iowa, where he resided from 1899 untill 1919. In the later year he removed to South Dakota, where he settled upon the farm in Tripp County, where he now resides as a prosperous farmer (1930).

Charles grew to manhood on his father's farm. After completing his education in the public schools of the locality, early in life he engaged in farming. For a period of ten years after leaving the parental home he operated a creamery at Blue Hill, Nebraska. Later he removed to Utah where he acquired the fruit farm near Elberta, which he now (1930) occupies. For a period of four years before removing to Nebraska he lived at Corey, Iowa. Charles and each of his three sons is a member of the Masonic Frate
He married Catherine Custer 11 Jun 1863 . Catherine Custer was born at Indiania 21 Jan 1847 .
