NOTES:
    John Hreinson assumed the anglecized form of spelling for his name upon settlement in Utah. In Iceland he was known as Jon Hreinson. His surviving children took the surname "Hreinson" in lieu of their Icelandic patronymic "Jonsson". The last two children, known as Johann and Jon in Iceland, both took the name "John" as the first part of their given names; however, to avoid confusion, the last child used his second given name of "Christian", which was the anglecized from the Icelandic name "Kristinn".
