Notes:
Possibly Ellen Nesbitt is a daughter in this family. She appears as a witness at the marriage of James and Elizabeth. The Temple Workers guessed at his birth date and place(1821 in Seghill, Northumberland) and his marriage date and place (1846 in Seghill).

Notes:
THE TEMPLE WORKERS SUBMITTED THIS WORK WHEN I HADN"T INTENDED THEM TO DO SO As a consequence they didn't have all of the (scarce) details that I had at that time. They only had her name. They've guessed at the other details of birth being in 1825 in Seghill, Northumberland (completely wrong). The temple work dates are:- B:15 NOV 1994, E:17 NOV 1994 in the London Temple. DEATH: Cct - 1877. Death in Gateshead in Co. Durham. No. 486. Barbara Nesbitt; age 69 years; widow of William Nesbitt, a shoe maker; cause of death was Scirrhus of the Breast - 2 years, certified by Benjamin Barkus M.D.; registered on 16 APR 1877 by James N. Nesbitt, her son and present at her death; registrar was John Pattison. CENSUS: St. Catherine's House, London. 1871. Ref no. 5097. at 68 Shield St, Newcastle. Barbara Nesbit [only one 't']; head; age 63; born in Whittle, Northumberland. James N; Son; age 23; Merchants Clerk; born in Newcastle. From census I assume that William, her husband, was already dead as she was the head of the household. BIRTH: From the census I assume that her birthdate was 1807/1808 and from her death certificate her year of birth was also 1807/1808. From Parish Registers their are several possible Barbaras and they follow here. (Whittle is in the parish of Shilbottle) //Barbara Robinson bn 2 March 1807, bp 9 Aug 1807. First daughter of Thomas Robinson of Newton, Labourer, Native of Newton on the Moor, by his wife Mary, 3rd daughter of James Fairburn, native of the parish of Bolam, Husbandman [farmer].// //Barbara Weightman bn Dec 25th 1806, bp Apr 5th 1807. First daughter of Robert Weightman of Shilbottle, Pitman, native of Newton by the Sea, by his wife Ann Dowey native of Newton by the Sea.// //Barbara Donaldson bn Sep 21st, bp Oct 28th 1810. First daughter of Richard Donaldson of Hazon, Blacksmith, native of Alnwick, by his wife Dorothy Fairburn, native of Bolam.// //Barbara Wilson bn Apr 25th 1811, bp Jun 2nd, second daughter of Robert Wilson of Shilbottle, Pitman, native of Shilbottle, by his wife Margaret Young, native of Sowick [Lowick?].// So none of the above actually born in Whittle (did it exist then??).

Notes:
The Temple Workers have guessed that he was born in Seghill, Northumberland, only because his wife was born there. Their assumptions also carry on to his parents' birth and marriage place. MARRIAGE: Cct - 1871. At St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church, Gateshead, Co. Durham. No. 33. On 21 DEC 1871. James Noble Nesbitt; age 23; bachelor; a merchants clerk; resident at 68 Shield Street, Newcastle at time of marriage; Son of William Noble Nesbitt (deceased) who had been a Boot Maker. AND Elizabeth Russell; age 23; spinster; resident at 59 Somerset Street, Gateshead at the time of marriage; daughter of Richard Russell (deceased) who had been a Husbandman [farmer]. In the presence of William George Cunningham and Ellen Nesbitt. Married by a mr. Riley and the registrar was John Usher. Possible births are N/T Dec 1849, 25 422 and N/T Jun 1850, xxv 434 at St. Catherine's House for Elizabeth Russell (I think).
