                   Centennial History of Susquehanna County, PA, Stocker, 1887: John Denny was a doctor, tavern-keeper, store-keeper, drover, farmer, and weaver.  He was a good weaver and wove bird's eye coverlets where he used 32 treadles.  John Denny moved to Gibson Twp in Feb 1814 from Dutchess County, New York.
